Everywhere you look on the internet people are talking about free this and free that. So what does free mean in the online marketing world. Generally it means that you give something that costs you nothing to access something else of “value”. Usually it’s about giving your name and e-mail because the free gift is used to develop an opt in mailing list or as a method of gaining affiliates and so creating a downline. Basically it amounts to the same thing but it shouldn’t put us off because a lot of the programs available like this are excellent and really open up access free advertising, e-mailing or useful materials and software.
The other kind of free is after you make a mandatory payment or promise to at a later date. You have to be more careful with this kind of free. Parting with your cash for anything shouldn’t be taken lightly because you may never see a return on your investment. That is how you should consider it. An investment that you want to see a return from. Common sense? Well yes but you can’t always tell whether something is viable for you or not. What works very well for one person may be totally impossible for another. We are not all born salespeople and building a downline for any program is notorious difficult no matter what anyone tells you.
Research is the answer. If you know something is working for one or a group of people then found out why. Find out what they are doing and ask yourself if it is something you could do yourself. Generally it all centres around advertising, sending e-mails and generating traffic. None of it is particularly difficult but it is a little time consuming and can be disconcerting.

If you want to get a piece of the action you can become an affiliate and use the same tac tics to promote the software. It’s up to you. But it’s got to be worth at least a look hasn’t it. You never know what you might be missing.
